Despite its recent publicity, with funding cuts, increased cost of living and an increase of up to 50 per cent of mental health deaths the reality for mental healthcare professionals on the ground is frustrating.

A committed team from Middlesex University and three North London boroughs, with funding from NHS England, decided to make a tangible difference. Together they formed the My Care Academy team and they had to launch it in a way that would be genuinely useful to healthcare professionals.
