One of PMI’s key challenges was the long time-to-market for Toolboxes & Assets, which was exacerbated by a high level of file duplication and inconsistencies across markets. Additionally, transcreation processes were time-consuming and led to increased agency costs due to manual recreation of assets.

Brightful’s goal was to streamline the toolbox creation process, introduce templated ways of working, and implement automation where possible to facilitate efficient content creation at scale. By leveraging technology and refining processes, we aimed to reduce duplication, enhance consistency, and accelerate asset delivery.

03 Strategy and Approach

To address PMI’s challenges, Brightful implemented a structured approach focused on proof-of-concept (POC) testing, technology enablement, and process optimisation.

We conducted multiple Creative POCs to test different hypotheses and technologies with the overarching aim of reducing costs, improving consistency, and increasing efficiency. Taking one of PMI’s toolboxes as a case study, we partially restructured its creative assets and Key Visuals, using templated ways of working. This allowed us to pinpoint inefficiencies and develop targeted solutions.

We established a new, streamlined structure that significantly reduced file duplication.

Adobe Creative Cloud Libraries:

Implementing centralised asset management improved accessibility and version control.

Visual Deconstruction:

By breaking down complex visuals into reusable key components, we minimised redundant asset creation.

Adobe Express & AI Integration:

We explored AI-driven automation for content localisation, optimising the adaptation of channel assets for different markets.

Reduced Costs: The foundation we established contributed to a 50% reduction in Channel Asset costs and a 25% reduction in Localised Asset costs.

Minimised Duplication: Templated workflows within Adobe Creative Cloud reduced file duplication by 90%.

Optimised File Usage: A folder containing key visuals that previously required 713 files was successfully restructured to use just 41 individual files.

Improved Efficiency: The introduction of dynamic templates significantly increased cost and time savings across creative production and localisation.
