01 The burning platform

2020-2021 have been tough years for young people in the UK. Youth unemployment (16-24 year olds) saw the sharpest rise in over 29 years leaving many young people despondent, with huge student debt and little to no prospects of a career. Brightful’s founder Richard Coope wanted to do something positive that would help young people in Hampshire and so, Winchester Creatives CIC was born.

02 The idea

Create a truly supportive community hub, mentorship programme and give young creatives the chance to learn, upskill and access to mentors and apprenticeships. Meet Richard, Dan and 25 mentees and 25 mentors from Hampshire. The rest is history.
